Why does everyone keep hatin on v6 mustangs?

Question

People are tryin to ask legitimate questions on here about how to improve or help out their set up on their v6...but the only answers we're gettin are "my supercharged GT will beat ur tail no matter what u do to your crappy v6"...That's fine, I know u will beat me in a race...but some people can't afford a supercharged GT, and we're tryin to work with what weve got...If you don't have anything constructive to say..just keep your thoughts to yourself...wave your money in someone elses nose

Have you ever heard of Carroll Shelby's Terlingua Mustangs? They start out with a V6 Mustang, perform $13K or so of mods, and wind up with a vehicle that makes 395 horses and still returns 18 mpg at speed.

I'm convinced that most of these V6 haters live in their parents' so they can keep their thirsty ponies in giddyup juice.

bro i drove a 4 cylinder. and after a year of saving i dropped a 351W. now im just rulling the streets.

but if they are hating, think about it this way. your dropping 40 bucks on your tank at least a week while these guys spend 80+ with 93 octane melting there wallet.

I have a 69 mustang convertible with a 250ci I6.

It's a slow car.

It also gets decent gas mileage and it turns heads like none other.

I could probably get blown away if I tried racing against a Geo Metro, but I seriously don't give a c**p because my car is a lot of fun.

I don't hate them.  What am I, chopped liver?  I'll bet you there is a Mustang V6 forum somewhere that specializes in that exact thing.  Have you looked for that?

why thay do that? thay just dont know how to build horse power fron anything .dont thay know a 4 banger vw bug can rip them a new a**.h**l I HAVE SEEN THAT ALOT.i had a 79 camarro with a 305 not telling how it was built but i blew alot of so called hot rods of the road and even took on a 454 big block and made him cry to his momma.you just keep on going the way you are and you will be fine

Those ppl with the GT's are paying through the *** with gas. They just have bigger more expensive engines. What are they going to do race with them? There's really no point to them unless you have a lot of money and want a more fancy moddel. Look at them laughing, but you have the last laugh because you still have a kick *** car and your paying less for gas then them

Nothing wrong with them, its just personal preference and ego. You could add a twin turbo system and get a real sleeper. With the V6 you get better city gas mileage and a decently built car. Add a cold air intake and a better shifter and you'll be happy. If you want to do more get a power programmer.
