Why does everyone like Obama so much?

I don't get it. And why do people base who they're going to vote for on the color of their skin? It's not the best way to vote, don't you think?

Skin? I don't look at that. I simply look at Tweedle-dee and Tewwdle-dum (Obama and McCain) and choose the one less likely to s***w the country up worse than it is.

McCain is scary as h**l and only holds promises of more of the same that we have been getting for the past 8 years.

Obama isn't nearly as scary and can't possibly be worse than Bush has been.

It has nothing to do with the color of his skin why I am voting for him because any democratic individual who speaks on change would have my vote!

He has made history being the first black man to run for president! And that's an acheivement on it own!! Dr. Martin Luther King Jr spoke on this 40 yrs ago!

McCain wants a war with Russia and 'you don't get it'.

Bush hired Gramm (McCain's x-Cochair) to deregulate the commodities and oil markets which made bubbles in housing, comodites and oil, and 'you don't get it'?

Obama wants to end the 500 billion dollar deficit that Bush borrows mostly from the Chinese dictatorship and 'you don't get it'.

Polls show that the people support Obama's stand on every issue from health care to social security and 'you don't get it'.

The last Democrat in office handed the last Republican in office a world of peace and prosperity, and now our economy, environment and standing in the world is in shambles and you 'don't get it'?

Have you read a newspaper lately? Have you watched the news? What don't you get?

Because he is bright and humble. His policies are fair and his judgment wise. Nothing to do with his skin color. If he was white, yellow, brown ,green or blue I would still support him. Apparently any man or woman of color that has a chance of being president can only make it because of white guilt or black bias according to you. Two things:

Obama is a clinical narcissist. These people have a weird magnetism. They feed on others' adoration and others get a rush from adoring them. You probably know someone who has NPD. These are people who have a false front and thrive on the worship of needy people.

The other thing: Many whites suffer from White Guilt. They want to be redeemed. They think that by embracing a "black" man they are redeeming themselves.  What is totally, ironically invisible to them is that Obama is culturally white. Had he been a follower of current African American culture, had he followed what black American men his age are like -- probably with a criminal record, speaking non-standard English, with several out of wedlock children and not a very good job -- they would have despised him.

Blacks see him as a fellow black, in spite of his white cultural roots. Blacks did not embrace Obama until they thought that the Cintons were criticizing him our of racist reasons.

I don't know why. Perhaps for the same reason women stay with guys who beat the c**p out of them. The guy keeps making promises he never keeps. He usually gives her just enough money to get by on, spending the rest on stuff for himself, and she is too insecure to give the other guy a try. To facilitate this insecurity, he tells her the other guy will treat her like c**p and they won't ever want her because she is unable to take care of herself.

I don't think they do like him as much as the media would like for us to think.  Have you ever heard him answer a tough question?  Have you ever heard the media ask him a tough question?  The media want us to think that he is this brilliant mind and an agent of change but I think he is just the result of political correctness.  The politically correct elite media want to be seen as smarter, wiser and more evolved than those of us in fly-over country.  White guilt, pure and simple, so much so that if you do question his experience, it is inferred that you are somewhat of a racist.  It's a very sad day in America.

It's not very complicated.  He's a great public speaker who is running on a platform of hope and change.  

Hope and change sounds pretty good to me.  It's only when people start digging into his lack of experience and accomplishments, and what his "changes" are that they realize this ain't the guy for them.

Of course, it helps that the media is completely in the tank for Obama.  They'll go through Palin's garbage, interview every single person that knew her and check every public record on the Republican VP nominee, yet won't do the same for the Democrat Presidential Nominee.

I vote on issues and qualifications so  Obama because he is not anti science like McCain and Palin.

His issues and his general direction seem sound and like most I am tired of the immature and dangerous idea that we can continue to borrow and spend rather than paying for our own war.  Now China is using our interest on the massive debt we owe to them to grow and prosper.  

For me what color anyone is has no meaning what so ever.  Its who is the best qualified and seems to be headed in the right direction.
