  1. I don't hate it, but is sounds like someone is saying "Never!" with a Bronx accent..."nevah!"

  2. It was prob Cool the first 100 times a Nic U Nurse heard it but then its just like .. yes i know its a gift from heaven but so are ALL other kids too .... i just don't like it cheesey

  3. I don't hate it. I think 'Neh-Vey-Uh' - sounds incredibly pretty. It's heaven spelt backwards. All names were invented by somebody once upon a time, I don't think it's weird at all. :-)

  4. i love the name.  it's unusual, and very pretty.  i wanted to name my daughter nevaeh but, with the last name it didn't sound right.  i know someone who has a granddaughter named nevaeh.  if i could would have named her that.

  5. I think it's kinda trashy and ghetto, but that's just my opinion.

  6. I don't hate it

  7. I love it! I know its heaven but written backwards.

  8. Any word in the Christian religion points to Satan and possession.  People who are possessed are known to say their prayers backwards, and a lot of prayers have the word Heaven in them.  I'm not even Christian, but the way I see it, if you name your child Nevaeh, you're pretty much saying she's worthless, she's on the level of demons, or that you're summoning demons.  Obviously, people of low educational levels use this name.  Someone who actually knew this information would never do that.  Therefore, I see Nevaeh as more of a curse than a name.  If you're going to do that to your kid, you might as well name her Lucifer.

  9. The name is not bad and actually sounds pretty.  I just think it is a little too trendy or was for a while anyway.

  10. I don't hate this name, I think its pretty and unique, and special! So, no one else it, so be it!It reminds of a city in the Bible, Neveah, near Jerusalem. So, if they named this out of the Bible, whose to say it wrong for you to use this name???

  11. I dont hate it but I would only use it for a middle name.

  12. i dont hate it i just wouldnt name my kid that.

  13. I don't hate it but I don't like the name cause of the girl off of um Flavor of Love

  14. because it is uncreative, trency, trailer trash and it means h**l. not heaven because the oppsoite to hevean would be h**l.

    yes or no?

  15. i just think it is cheesy to spell a word backwards, and it is SOOOOOOOOOO popular. Also i don't even like the sound of it.

  16. It's made up. It's heaven backwards - that's ridiculous for a name. GIve her a name that suits her as an adult. Can you imagine your lawyer or doctor introducing herself as Nevaeh??

  17. You should name your child something that will command respect when the child becomes an adult.

  18. Because it's trendy, a made-up name, and it sounds incredibly trashy--it sounds like a stage name that a stripper would choose.  And it seems like nobody ends up saying just "Nevaeh."  It's always "Nevaeh--that's 'Heaven' spelled backwards."

Actually, I think "That's 'Heaven' spelled backwards" ends up being the child's middle name after a while.

  19. I am not sure how to pronounce it to tell you the truth.

And I think that the reason people don't like it, is because of the spelling. I think that the spelling is a little weird, and if I didn't choose the name, I wouldn't spell it like that.

    Hope I helped! :-)

  20. I think it's to overused. And the spelling looks weird (heaven) backwards. But that's just my opinion.

  21. I don't hate it, but I would never name my kid Nevaeh. I'm not a big fan of this name at all. I know the name is pronounced "Nuh-vay-uh", but if people would actually learn how to read, technically it should be pronounced "Nuh-Vay". And some people did notice this and have otherwise named their child "Neveah" which is closer to the pronounciation people want to achieve, but then they still claim it is Heaven spelled backworkd which it isn't anymore when you switch the A and the E around!!! But why would you want your child to have a name that is "Heaven Backwords".....which is the opposite of Heaven.......which is h**l, so when you name you child Nevaeh you're basically naming her h**l. Why would anyone do that? Well anyways if you like the pronounciation of the name, I would suggest just spelling it Naveyah or Nevayah, but I can't see why anyone would like it. And if you like the meaning why not just name her Heaven and achieve your 'goal' directly! Hope this helps! =)

  22. I wouldn't name my kid that..

  23. Because it looks absolutely ridiculous. Also one is totally defeating the purpose because words spelled backwards mean the OPPOSITE of what they are so really it's like calling your child h**l.

  24. i just dont like it alot of people around me think its so unique because its heaven spelled backwards...but you would not name your kid Susej  ( Jesus backwards) i think it is very played out

  25. I don't like it because everytime someone uses it they feel the need to explain "Its heaven backwards!". Everyone knows what it is now its one of the most popular names in the country. Its not clever its just corny!

  26. It's dumb.

I don't think it means h**l either, I think it's a way for people to give their kid a tacky name without sounding as tacky. And, yes, people did make up everyother name but Ashley backwards (yelhsa) doesn't spell anything tacky. Same with Jennifer. (refinnej)

  27. its corny, heaven backwards, cmon

  28. I don't like it because I honestly think that no one would name their kid that if it wasn't "heaven" backwards. It also doesn't sounds good. And no one would get it until you wrote it out. Like, "Hi, my name is Neveah." You wouldn't get if right off the bat, would you???

  29. I think it sounds stupid. Just name her Heaven if that's what you want her name to be. At least people can pronounce it!

  30. I don't hate it -- how is that pronounced?
