Why does everyone think Kimbo is so great?

Question

I was hardly impressed by any of his street fights. Especially since many of his opponents were smaller than him. I'd like to see him fight someone 50 lbs heavier than him instead of it always being the other way around. He knocks out most of his opponents because they dont even block being that they are so inexperienced. Your thoughts?

People don't think Kimbo is great. That's why they put him against Tank Abbott, an over the hill fighter, who lost all of his few last fight. If they think Kimbo is great then they would give him a title shot...

any way kimbo got battered but kimbos boys kept jumping in

and could you see kimbo fighting some one like randy he would be eating is food Through a Straw for the rest of is life as is boys would not be able to jump in the cage to split the fight up

First off let me say thank you to elmer for the vid link. I have never seen that one. Very entertaining to say the least.  Kimbo is not that great of fighter in my opinion. He is just a popular hot name at the moment. He is famous on the internet and just entered the mma pros. He also submitted famous boxer Ray Mercer. Along with his debut on Average Joe versus Joc or whatever people have just fallen into the hype. If Kimbo wants to really impress the world and become a great fighter he will have to keep winning and and move onto the MMA elite in the UFC  and Pride/K-1/Dream. I think he will start losing before then and get exposed for what he is which is a d**n good brawler not a professional fighter. Dont get me wrong I love to watch his fights and think he is crazy and unpredicatable which makes it the more entertaining.

Sounds good to me. How about putting him in with Bob Sapp? I think that would be entertaining. I have to give him his due though he has a presence about him and I think the Tank Abbott match up is great because they are both sluggers and it makes for an exciting match on paper assuming they both come out throwing punches. Tank might decide on a different strategy and try and take him into possible unknown waters but we shall see.
