Why does everyone think Lebron is so great?

Anyone who thinks kobe couldnt take the cavs just as far as lebron in the EAST rememebr is no thinking clearly. Kobe actually can hit a jump shot adn a free throw, can spread the floor and give gibson much better looks.

Dude Lebron got to game 7 with the Celtics while Kobe got to game 5 (game 6 wasn't even a game that was an embarrassment to the NBA and was just a completely execution by the Celtics). If Kobe can do more than Lebron then why doesn't he. Lebron went to the Finals all by himself and forced a game 7 with the Champs while Kobe couldn't even get out of the 1st or 2nd round of the playoffs with no one and with everyone he couldn't even win anything.

lakers without gasol still have a better squad than the cavs.  where did kobe go with that? first round exits and a lottery season.  lebrons is just a better scorer than kobe is, and he attracts more attention especially when he drives to the basket.  kobe is a perimeter player and he settles for a lot of jump shots, contested and not contested.

you cant argue the fg% and ppg stats for lebron and kobe. sure kobe can score from anywhere on the court and lebron cant shoot jumpers as good as kobe, but why shoot so many jumpers when you can just lay it up?

i think kobe is a better player than lebron right now, but lebrons scoring abilites are a bit above kobe.

kobes just a better all around player than lebron.  i would say kobe actually distributes the ball better than lebron and is a better defender.

Kobe's the best player right now without a doubt but Lebron is just as amazing.     If you look at the Cavs lineup without Lebron, it's pretty disgusting, basically nobodies.   The fact that he can take the champions to game 7 all by himself speaks volumes about what a great player he is.    He can't hit a jump shot but that's not the most efficient way to get points anyway.  He drives, makes layups and mid range jumpers and gets fouled and gets sent to the line.   That's why his FG % is very decent.

If Kobe was to take on the Pistons (two years ago), Tayshaun can shut his @$$ up. Lebron's too physical for anyone to take. Doc Rivers figure out that no one can score except for James, so they put heavy pressure on him. Kobe, if he was in heavy pressure. Let's see here, two first round exits, fail to make the playoffs, 24pt choke and received a 39 blownout.
