  1. in my town -Flagler hospital, there are many retired older ladies, who like to help others. they are often widowed and need to be in contact with others. makes them fell needed, and they actually are great help.

  2. Search of the rich doctor hubby or access to meds...

    LOL - h**l I dont know!

  3. If it is something you wish to do, and because hospitals need volunteers badly.

  4. Because they LOVE people and love helping them feel better........

  5. Because sick people need company, and volunteering is a great way to make them smile. You can go in and talk to a patient, or you can read books to children, work on arts and crafts with them, etc. etc. there are tons of things one can do at a hospital. It makes them feel good to know they are bringing some sunshine into another person's life.

  6. my Mum used to volunteer at a couple of the local hospitals here in Sydney because she wanted to keep her nursing skills up to date as well as do the stuff that the nurses usually didn't have time to do.
