Why does eveyone take horoscopes seriously?

I don't, so I guess not everyone does. Unless I'm somehow not part of "everyone." But anyways, I look at horoscopes for fun. A lot of the time, I find that they accurately describe me and my situations, but I don't depend on them or base any of my decisions wholly on what they say.

I don't think most people do. It's the people who come on here and say it's fake that take it more seriously. It's just for fun, especially when we see things that are true. That's why it's in the entertainment section. I wish the people that were so negative about it would just chill out. (I'm not alluding to you personally)

Because people like to lean on things and believe in something, whether or not it's true.  To know what their day will offer to them.  Some take horoscopes seriously 'cause it's true.  It can't be true to everyone, but to those who find them correct, they'll believe it.
