Why does explorer abort and not open my page in yahoo when i try to go from yahoo home page?

from yahoo home if i click on my page, a box will appear stating that explorer cannot open the site and operation was aborted, then when you click on OK in the box the screen goes to Page cannot be displayed, clicking on refresh will bring back MY Page but shortly the same small box will appear with the same message ...and the cycle goes on and on til......finally it might open and stay open...

Recently my system had trouble with freezing and 'page can not be displayed' and it was an optimization software I'd installed several months ago. If you're using Norton Systemworks, IOLO System Mechanic, Registry Cleaner, etc. disable whichever one you have and see if your experience improves. If these are very old for you consider updating the version. And the same goes for old antivirus software, if it's more than a year since you upgraded the engine (not the virus signatures but the actual version of the sofware is the 'engine'). In any event usually you can disable temporarily and see if the situation resolves. Restart the softwares independently to see which is relevant.
