  1. Have you got the latest version with all the updates from the Internet Explorer website?

    7.0.5730.13 is the latest version.

  2. cos ur a woman, women + PCs = fail

  3. Maybe you need more RAM

There may be too much for the PC to handle

RAM is prety cheap these days, I'm sure 512mb should be enough

    NOTE TO EVERYONE ELSE:

WINDOWS EXPLORER AND INTERNET EXPLORER ARE DIFFERENT

  4. Because its rubbish, get Mozilla Firefox, its free and easy to download and it wont crash, well not much anyway....

so you got 512mb and you are wondering why it crashes... I thought you said you were not a noob....

  5. the movies in the folder ~have any of them played on your pc.

if they have not try downloading "k lite codec pack" you may be missing the relevant codec for the film.

also some films now contain "virus like "instructions to your PC to stop the film being played.

    hope this helps.

  6. ok so the way I c it u have 3 options

    1. post your question on one og the microsoft tech forums along with specififc details of the os u r using, exact nature of fault, etc, and faff about while people offer things you can try to fix the problem. May or may not yield a rsult and may be time consuming.

    2. use an alternative file manager

    http://www.downloadsquad.com/2007/05/11/...

will give you an instant result, and something with more functionality than what u have been using.

    3. reformat and start from scratch. pretty much guaranteed to fix the problem but has the downside of having to set up the machine again.

  7. It looks like Explorer is trying to preview a video file that is either corrupt or for which it doesn't have the correct codec; just switch off preview by going into explorer folder options->view

tick the box marked "always show icons never thumbnails"

or use a free third party explorer replacement such as xplorer2 lite

    or ultra explorer

  8. I had this problem to and all i had to do was update my registry and then it solved the problem.
