Why does federer only lose points from winning cincinnati and the final of toronto?

Because he only loses 850 from Cincinnati and toronto but he won the hamburg masters aswell, i'm confuzzled

  1. hey, do not be so upset i am also very much crazy about fedx..but what can u do when all the things r beyond yor imagination,when he loses any GAME to nad....(I DON'T LIKE HIM) I BECOME VERY UPSET  i like fedx A LOT.BUT............LET's hope for the BEST..


  2. The ranking points are good for 52 weeks. So after a year after they gained, they lose them. This year with the Olympics, Cincinnati and Rogers Cup were played early, so they have yet to lose those points from last year, but they have already gained points from those events this year.

    Roger has already lost 150 points from winning Hamburg last year and making it to the final this year.

  3. He loses those points because the rankings is based on a 52 week cycle. Federer must defend those points but he didn't this is why Nadal has a better chance because he didn't have many points to defend. Also next year Nadal will have to defend those points. Djokovic lost points at Toronto  because last year he made the finals and this year he did bad at Toronto. Federer will lose his champions points at Hamburg but gain Finalist points.
