  1. I think the reason probably is after you flushing a toilet , the cold water will pour in the toilet. The cold water would be relative decreased so that you will feel the temperature of the shower water increasing.

  2. Pressure differential increased, more hot and less cold at the mixing valve. Cold water takes least path of resistance and flows to open toilet valve. The resistance is the mixing valve and shower head.

Modern plumbing code now requires all tub/shower valves to be pressure balanced which eliminates this problem.

  3. Typically, a comfortable shower is a mixture of hot and cold. We like to take hot showers but not too hot because we do not like to get scalded. So we open the cold to admit some cold to mix with the hot and we get a nice comfortable shower. Sometimes, someone flushes a toilet, or turns on another faucet in the kitchen while you are in the shower and you get scalded anyway.  This is because some flow of cold water is being taken from your shower when the toilet is flushed of the faucet is turned on. Houses have one water feed coming in. each time a faucet is opened, pressure is reduced on other faucets resulting in a reduction of flow.

Picture a pipe 20 feet long with 10 pipes with valves teeing off every 2 feet and a water supply at one end. Open the valve at the end , then start opening other valves. You will find that the flow in the first pipe will decrease with each opening of another valve. Well that is like somone flushing the toilet while you are in the shower and your hot / cold water mixture just got a little hotter because less cold water is being mixed with the hot.

  4. In day times water in the pipes and tank gets heated, when you flush the toilet which is inside the building have cold water, after that water starts reloading got water ll come, even though you wont flush but wait for 2 mins you ll get hot water through shower itself...

    Hope you understood...
