Why does gas make a sound when it comes out?

I know that's probably a weird question, but I've always kind of wondered that.

    I guess it's probably the force of the air squeezing out! Think about it, ever let the air out of a balloon whilst pinching the opening. All the vibrations and stuff just make noise.  

  3. it is the vibration of the soft tissue surrounding the gas that is actually making the noise

  5. cuz the air has to squeez to get out of your r****m,same thing if you put a straw in your armpit and blow in it.or when you put your mouth around your arm and blow
