Question:

Why does global warming come back to common people?

Industry and government are contributors. I have little choice in my small world to make a great difference. I have a fuel economy car and recycle. I guess when it comes back to the people it means that we are going to have something restricted or have us pay more money for a quality of life that seems to shrink as time goes by.

  1. Division and accusations seldom, if ever, help solve problems.  Global warming is a world-wide problem and it doesn't do any good to blame one country or segment of society.  We must each work together for a common solution.

The solution lies in a joint effort of government, industry, and the "common" people. Government should funnel research dollars into promising clean energy (quit giving tax breaks to industries that worsen the problem), industry must expedite development of new technologies, and consumers should reduce wasteful energy use.

  2. Ask your self why Government and Industry doesn't change what they do to protect the planet.

They don't care, but they will take huge steps to get you to worry about it so they can profit off of your fear.

Global Warming? Ignore the media and people. Look around you and ask yourself this as well...

Is it really getting warmer? What would impact the planet more, me or the big giant light bulb (the Sun) in the sky?

Carbon has always been in the atmosphere. What makes you think we have changed anything.

Hole in the Ozone? Who says it wasn't always there?

Is it getting colder maybe? What is the Sun doing? How much ice is really down in Antarctica?

    If you answer these questions, you will be happy to learn that your fears of Global Warming are just fears and nothing more;

However, what you may learn may even be scarier!!!!!!

  3. You're right. I don't know exactly, but the estimate is that about 80% of carbon emissions are not made by household waste but my industry and commerce. And it's true, when you see that figure it's really disheartening, why the heck are we putting in any effort if it makes really little difference.

The government's argument is that our change in lifestyle also has an impact on our attitude. If we change our attitude we'll stop buying products from non eco friendly companies wherever possible.

That said, you're right, the restrictions put on the people are often much larger than those on commerce. Also, it's a serious commitment to really make any difference whatsoever.

  4. Because hollywood likes to make us feel guilty.  They own five huge houses, have fleets of cars and fly around in private jets.  Yet they tell us that we need to make adjustments to our lives.  We need to stop listening to actors and actresses who know nothing about the world outside of hollywood.

  5. Global Warming is a scam for more tax.It is a lie propagated by the Left & Gore.

  6. you just need to explore alternatives different from the norm

for instance when i put my well in i also had geothermal line tapped the geothermal heats my home to a constant temperature and also runs a generator that i use to power the water heater and electric throughout the home as far as the transportation yes changes need to be made and technology will make alternatives cheaper to run and use this will become more rapid as the need for it becomes rampart

the demand is high and yes the larger companies do have a considerable amount of blame but they also have to look at cost cutting alternatives and alternatives all together

and thus more demand for a change leads to more change

there are many alternatives you just need to research the ones that will help you the most to increase your way of life

    goodluck

  7. The best way to make a difference is through conservation.  Conservation will actually save you money.  Before you consider recycling, trying reducing the amount you buy and reusing things before tossing them out.  Quality of life isn't about buying more of everything; that's like saying morbid obesity is quality of health.

  8. The quality of life you speak of is relative!

  9. This "problem" is a huge scam created by the government (left-right) to brainwash societies worldwide.

    My 2 cents.
