  1. He's still exactly the same God, he hasn't changed one bit. What has changed is that his people are no longer under the old Laws, which they were under covenant to obey. When they didn't obey, God was angry, and they did mess up quite a lot of the time.

  2. As there is only Tanakh, and Torah - there are no NEW and OLD testaments, and there is no truthful book known as NEW testament, then there is no such answer as "G-d's temperament would improve."

Period.  There is the Tanakh.  Description for those who don't know:

"The Written Torah is often called the Tanakh, which stands for Torah (T), Nevi'im (N) and Ketuvim (K). The Written Torah contains:

    1. Five Books of Moses (Chumashe Torah)

    2. Prophets (Nevi'im)

    3. Writings (Ketuvim) "

The Tanakh is an acronym of the initial Hebrew letters of the Tanakh's three traditional subdivisions: Torah, Nevi'im and Ketuvim. According to Jewish tradition, the Tanakh consists of twenty-four books.

The Tanakh counts as one book what are sometimes counted as two in Christian Bibles (e.g. 1 and 2 Samuel, 1 and 2 Kings and so forth), and counts Trei Asar (תרי עשר, the Twelve Prophets; though literally, "twelve") as a single book.

This question is also similar to another question asked several weeks ago, and PaperBack Writer JPAKosher says it perfectly:

'The Tanakh is the Jewish bible. It comprises the Torah, the Prophets, and Writings. The 'OT' is the Christianised and often MIStranslated adaptation OF the Tanakh.

Jesus is not mentioned anywhere in the Tanakh. The Tanakh was written WAY before BEFORE Jesus was even born. And as Jesus is utterly irrelevant to Judaism, there is no place for him IN Jewish scriptures.

Some Christians desperately try and back engineer Jesus into the Tanakh. They cite Isaiah 53 and various other bits of text, but NONE of them reference Jesus. Jews read and study the Tanakh in the ORIGINAL LANGUAGE they were written in, so we get fed up with many Christians - who rely on bad translations - turn round and tell US that WE don't understand our OWN bible.

Jesus did not fulfill *any* of the *Jewish* prophecies.

    This is objective fact."

And then, another variation of this question was asked several months ago, and one person answered very acurately:

To begin with, there is no such a thing as Old or New Testament. "Old Testament" is an antisemitic term coined by Paul in order to establish the Christian Bible as the "New Testament."

Among the differences is that the Hebrew Bible (kinown as Tanakh and Torah) was written by Jews, especially Esdras when the Jews returned from exile in Babylon. And the Christian Bible was written by Gentiles, all disciples of Paul.

In subject matter, the NT follows the same method but the whole thing is a plagiarism of the Hebrew Scriptures, as the Book of Mormon is a plagiarism of both."

The Tanakh stands alone, makes sense alone and is studied alone by Jews. It neither needs nor seeks 'fulfillment' in the Christian bible, the 'new testament'.

Only Christians call the Jewish bible the 'old' testament. It's not 'old' to Jews - why would we label our own bible as 'old' when NOTHING has nor ever could replace it?

  3. He mutated into a slightly less toxic form.

  4. You ask silly and foolish questions

  5. Because someone else wrote the sequel to the old testament.

  6. Jesus died for our sins or something which made him chill out... I think that's the answer.

It doesn't make any sense.. But whatever- You either accept it and become religious, or you question it and get very confused and ask questions on Yahoo Answers.

  7. That's a good question.  I'm a Christian, I've wondered that too and asked God about it.  It's because of Jesus.  Once Jesus came to earth and experienced human life, He was able to go back the the Father in Heaven and now mediates and intercedes for us.  He ever lives to make intercession for those who belong to Him.

And also because of God's grace, which He extends through Jesus and because of Jesus, He is no longer always wrathful.

  8. They need a stronger hand to keep us Atheist and other religions from breaking the mind control exerted over you Christians... That's why they had to get a little rough and the reason why puritans where born.

  9. i guess the people who wrote it decided he'd be more "laid back" in this day and age.

    Hope i helped :)

  13. That is a good question! Think about the old testament, which is a book of law, if this is so, by what was written, and it is written, and it says, woe unto you lawyers, who do not enter yourselves, but hinder those who wish to! A book of law? And it is about words that are perverted, or tarnished, then should we not be like lawyers to understand the words, that means know ALL the words thoroughly, we do evolve, but which way do we go? Is it really that hard to see, as in, the gnashing of teeth? When I come to this sight, this is what I see, is this a true temperament of his, I think not, the one's who do this, who are they of! If religeons practice this, are they teaching? What do they represent? Do they have the title of him? They can not control their temperament? Religeons have been fighting since the beginning of them, they fight for land, they fight for the name, it is not hard to see what is going on today and will get harsher tomorrow! It is not about forcing something done the throats of others by might, it is done by understanding of the words, all the words, but by poor representation by those who say they are and are not, it turns people away from what needs to be understood, sometimes I think they are the one's on trial by the book of law? They say he created everything, as in people, but they want to set out and destroy people, that are not like them? In their way of beleiving, then they forget that to create a proselyte is two fold the child of h**l than themselfes? They sell material about his words for 29.95, this should tell everyone, they are not of him? How can you sell a gift? That is an act of greed! If they had confidence in what they say, they would not have to sell it for a reward! This last little bit, it says, """he will set out to change laws and times?""" Listen to what they say? Jesus said, DO NOT CALL ME THE ACCUSER! What does that say to you? Pay attention! This is not a game! I know what atheist means in full, and the proof is in front of everyones eyes, it means skeptic, it means you do not believe the doctrines of this world? "A" stands for towards, and theist, could that possibly mean you are not brain dead? I am not trying to poke fun at no one, that is forbidden!
