Im backing Strachan anaw Oracle, always have. Why do some fans elevate O'Neil to god-like status? He almost ran Celtic into the ground, giving older players long, lucrative contracts before he left. Strachan has picked up the pieces and assembled a young squad that plays far more attractive fitba, and his acheivements speak for themselves

Gordon Strachan does not need the full backing of the Celtic support but he does need the full backing of the Celtic board and money men. The thing is most fans are fickle and as such can demonstrate a lack of respect, even when it's fully merited.

I started a campaign 'I'm Backing Strachan' on the back of the home game against Artmedia Bratislava, when he showed just how good his team could play. Ultimately that Euro exit was the making of him as a manager and he now is a Celtic legend. I think most fans, with the exception of the very stupid, will admit he has done a fantastic job. He has, as you mentioned, won 3 in a row, 2 last 16 places in the CL and 2 domestic trophies and he will continue to push Celtic forward in all areas. I am glad he is like Teflon, in that none of the garbage thrown at him, sticks. I enjoy his banter and sometimes the curt way he is with the press. It may not be everyones way of doing but it is Gordons and he will live and die by his own decisions.
