Why does goverment cut funding for special needs programns ?

What happens to the people when these programs are shut down ?

  1. because that is the community that can least afford the time and money to lobby them...so it's the easiest to cut.

    Never mind that they are increasing the future financial burden on society, as well as social burden for families who receive little to no help.


  2. The government cuts funding because they don't believe that this area needs to be given assistance since they feel that the special needs students will not contribute to society and be taxpayers.  They have never been inside a special education classroom or a general education classroom with special education students that are there trying to learn, but need assistance except there is no funding for assistants to help and the classroom teacher has to help the higher end kids so the lower end kids lose out.

  3. Because they think that the money could be spent in another area that would benefit more people.

    At least that is the ideal way for the government to decide the budget.
