Why does he rest of the world care about american entertainment?

but we don't care bout what the rest of the world watches or listens to. just think about it, when a celebrity is famous in america there famous all over the world. the whole world knows who they are but we don't know who celebrities in other countries are. or why do all tv shows an movies are shown worldwide but we dont see tv shows and movies from other countries. or why do artists only become successful when they release a song in america but we never hear about artists in euroupe or africa or asia?

I'd say the answer is in what the entertainment industry does for marketing. I'm guessing they only push what they are selling and if they don't own any labels that originate overseas then they simply won't market it. Comes down to money it seems.
