  1. he just can't say that he lost fare and square and needs to blame it on something. personally i think it is pretty unproffesional as most good players with good sportsmanship accept that they lost by their own fault.

  2. ahhh hewitts past his best. I just dont believe he has the weapons to beat the top 10. E.G look at djokovic, hes almost exactly the same only better than him at everything.

  3. Hewit is just a poor sore, who can't play tennis/ his wasting his time if he thinks he can win any major championships.

  4. C'mon people. This guy is playing near the top of the world rankings. Why is it that we can't celebrate how well he has done and take him at his word regarding his injury?

It doesn't make sense for these top athletes to practise and make the sacrifices they make only to use injury as an excuse, especially since Hewitt is the first one to say when he was outplayed. Even Federer said that without the hip injury Hewitt will be someone to look out for.

  5. Well, you may call it making excuses, but sometimes it really is the injury that keeps a player from playing better than what they could have, not that Hewitt would've beaten Federer. Other times, it could just be in your head.

  6. but in his defence he has been sidelined for some time with that hip injury...

*not that it would have made a big difference...fedex is out there for vengeance...and looks like so far he's getting it...

and i dont think its just the pro's, club players and even social players will make up injury excuses if they lost a match...my legs sore...shoulder pull..etc etc...

the only sad thing is that novaks out...wanted to see him get whipped by fedex to put him back in his place for talking too much

  7. Hewitt is always a big cry baby.  He gives his best and always find faults when he looses.  I guess he is just a sore loser.

  8. Not only Hewitt! This has always been an American thing, even the best players used it, McEnroe, Sampras, Connors etc. Hewitt learned it from the masters.

  9. Well I think that is the difference between successful athlete and just average athlete. Whatever excuse you give in any match you lose you will never increase your competitiveness. And great champion is the most competitive in his sports.

  10. hewitt always says whenever he loses something was wrong...

  11. Nobody likes to look or feel inept.  What better to blame it on than an injury.  But I dig what you're saying, it's ridiculous.  He is a sore loser, which makes him a loser.
