  1. Internet Explorer has more security issues because it is more popular. The more popular a browser is, the more people will find exploits and security loop holes in it.

  2. Its more popular

Its deeply rooted into the Windows operating system allowing easier access into your system for hackers once they've hacked the browser.

Its closed source so new security holes take a lot longer to fix

Its an old browser thats been patched up

Its security options are difficult to use or non existent

It does not have add-ons like NoScript

  3. Because it is from Microsoft. They are a convicted monopolist with the worst software security track record on the planet.

  4. Its been around for so long now & is popular so by now it has been hacked and people have everything figured out with it and can gain access to all the things that they shouldnt be able to

  5. Because  IE is the browser that is used by most people on the Internet.

If you are a computer programmer that likes  to write out different script codes for Viruses and likes to infect people with those Viruses, targeting IE browser would be the smart thing to do.  IE also has security issues that make it much more venerable  for Hackers and malicious scripts to penetrate  then Mozilla Firefox or Opera Browser but eventually as Firefox becomes more popular and is used by  multi-millions the same thing will eventually happen to Firefox users as well.
