Why does is my camera telling me my memory card is write protected?

its a nikon coolpixl10 i had took the memory card out to put the pictures on the computer and then when i had took it out f the computer and stuck it in the camera it started telling me it was write prtected can i fix this so i can still use the same memory card or do i have to buy a new one?

It has a little 'write-protection' catch on the side of the memory card. You may have flicked it by mistake. Unflick it.
