Why does it burn when i put neutrogena moisturizer?

I just bought neutrogena oil-free moisturizer from wal-mart!

First i wash my face with blackhead daily scrub then apply the moisturizer. My face kinda burn after applying the moisturizer! why is it like that? is it because i'm allergic to something? Should i stop using it? Or continue to use it?

ya, the same thing happened to me! it burned my skin as well. Try not using it so frequently.

If the moisturizer is irritating then I would discontinue use. You may have sensitive skin-so oil free may not be the best route to go. Although Neutrogena is a highly recommended and appraised brand-I only like their gentle  (no strings attached) products.

I do, however, suggest eliminating the scrub from your daily routine-you will ultimately end up eliminating natural oils from your face which is NOT good.

I really really really like Cetaphil moisturizer. I recommend it to everyone. It's super gentle and does not clog pores, #1 Dermatologists recommended too!

The answer is easy. Yes you are probably allergic to it. But it is the harmful chemicals inside you are probably allergic to. Look on the label and see if they use PROPELYNE GLYCOL. This is a harmful chemical that is used as an agent in anti freeze and is used as a lubricant in skin care items, it is well known to cause skin allergies and contact dermatitis ( in years will probably show cancers as well) Check your products here for harmful chemicals in them http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com they will show you all your favorite brands neutrogena, Maybelline, revlon, etc....and rate them how harmful they are and why. Check it out. You really need to switch to organic/natural products-good ones do not use these harmful cheap chemicals

You are perhaps allergic to the moisturizer/ daily scrub reacting with the moisturizer.   Stop using the scrub & try using the moisturizer only. If it still burns ; then you are allergic to the moisturizer  Return to Walmart and ask for exchange.  Use Yes to Carrots! ./ Aloe 80. It's better for sensitive skin

Scrubs are not supposed to use daily, only 2 times in a week.

Things for daily use - Cleanser , Toner, Moisturizer

2 times a week usage- Scrub & face Mask

For oily skin

For Dry Skin - Scrub 1 time per week, Face mask ( Hydrating & Nourishing) 2 times a week
