I mean no country comes close to USA's 54 medals and China's 47.....is there some sort of conspiracy? Or is it the US media that only focus's on US competitions?

Thanks for helping me understand :)

  1. Because it's the real world of business where everything is arranged and paid for ahead of time and we poor honest people are manipulated and governed by a bunch of crooks. Do you REALLY believe that Olympics are not a money matter??? If so you are just burying  your head in deep sand. If you don't let's do something about it. IT'S ALL A BIG JOKE . And unfortunately million of people could use those moneys to have at least 1 good meal a day.

11:51 pm. I which to complete my answer.

I have been thinking about that question for about 5 hours now. While watching TV tonight, i came to the conclusion that the big joke as more to do with geopolitics than with sports.

China is one of the most populated country in the world and needs desperately to clean up it's image as far as human rights are concerned. Also they will need more and more oil to fuel there cars and so on. Now who manages oil in the world: USA!. So there is probably a deal behind the scene where China shines all over the world through the Olympics to be able to sell more cars or whatever (and by the way consume more oil) and USA stays in second place to SELL more oil. And i will not talk about  selling bombs, and military technologies It would be too long. May be you should submit your question to G.W. B. or d**k Chainey. In conclusion YES i think there is a conspiracy helped by the probably paid medias. By the way i live in canada not in the US.

  2. Understand this. Team GB are pissing over everybody and every thing in the Track Cycling. China who? I hope this clarifies things.

  3. Haha, I just think that China and USA are the top competitors, nothing more. Also, China is doing really great cause it's also in their homeland ;]

  4. ITs always been the USA vs the home country.

And this year China is doing really well.

I really hope USA owns the track and field events though.

  5. There are several correct answers for this question and many reasons why it is only these two countries.  First reason is that United States is always at the top of medal counts. Secondly China has an absurd amount of people therefore they have more options to use on each event, making the countries olympic qualifier races very competitive.

In short, USA is always dominant and China is have a very good olympics home field advantage or not.

  6. china is probably cheating. did u see the gymnastics when one of the chinese girls had like 6 balance checks and got an amazing score and shawn johnson didnt have any and was perfect and she got a lower score. weird uh

  7. You have a billion Chinese and 300 million Americans- it's to be expected that they would win the most medals.

  8. AS FAR AS THE MEDAL COUNT, UR RITE, USA IS VERY STRONG IN MOST SPORTS, AND CHINA IS DOING VERY WELL IN MOST SPORTS AS IT WOULD BE A DISGRACE TO THEIR COUNTRY NOT TO DO WELL...OTHER COUNTRIES HAV BEEN SHOWN ON TV, THO, I HAV SEEN OTHER COUNTRIES COMPETING AGAINST EACH OTHER (BESIDES THE USA AND CHINA) IN FIELD HOCKEY, SOCCER AND BOXING...AND I'M SURE IN MORE SPORTS THEY SHOWED ON TV THAT I DIDN'T WATCH...I GOTTA SLEEP TOO, U KNO, THESE OLYMPICS ARE MOSTLY ON LIVE, WHICH MEANS LATE AT NITE, INTO THE EARLY MORNING...TOO LATE 4 ME!!!

  9. I think it's more US media than anything else.  China has more Golds, I think.  But you won't hear the US media talking about that too much, will you?

  10. thats just the way it is... the USA and China cant help it if no one can keep up

i hope we smash China though
