Why does it hurt when you put salt on your skin then put an ice cube on it?

me and my friends do this and i was just wondering.. i did it on my arm for a while and its all red and im getting a big bump lol

please explain im very curious whyit does this

every gr of water gives (i'm not sure of the number) 142 Joel to transform to ice.

when you put ice on salt the freezing point of ice cames down so it melts.

when it melts it takes back that 142 so your skeen freezes.

I think that should hurt!!!

Salt lowers the freezing point of water to as low as zero degrees F, which is cold enough to freeze your skin solid. It's a slight case of frostbite.
