  1. it may be too humid in his cage, try a dehumidifier, OR it could be associated with a skin condition called dysecdysis, which is the technical name for shedding problems. dysecdysis occurs when the old skin is retained over a part of the body, most frequently the eyes

thereis a scale over the eyes of a snake called a spectacle that should break a way when shedding. however, sometimes the spectacle will break off, leaving it covering the eyes. this would account for the cloudiness, as after shedding, the spectacle is no longer a living thing.

over time, these can build up and result in temporary blindess until removed. in serious cases, the spectacles can constrict the eye and cause it to rot away, resulting in permannt blindness. spectacles can be removed by swabbing the eye with a cotton ball soaked in warm water. after 30 mins., carefully pluck at spectacle w/ tweezers.

it would be better to talk to a herp vet before doing this though, because plucking at a healthy eye can be more dangerous than a retained spectacle.

  2. Sounds like the humidity level isn't right in his cage. Soak him in lukewarm water for a while, then make sure you spray his cage down once a day with water.
