Why does it make sense that the first life on Earth was single celled aquatic life?

everything living has cells?)

  1. Because most life, even singled celled life is mostly water. In the early stages of life on Earth, life was not advanced enough to obtain water indirectly so it had to live in it and use semi-permeable membranes to use water.


  2. because cells split and multiply so we had to start out at 1! also the aquatic thing makes sense because before we're born, we were technically only one cell and we were living in liquid. sounds right to me

  3. everything has cells and most living things have their gestation period in some type of water or liquid
