What difference does it make from getting into a pharmacy school where the chances of getting in are higher? In the end, both will become pharmacists that get the same amount of pay right?

  1. You'll have a higher chance of getting employed/getting better perks etc. They are hard to get into for a reason :P. I suggest comparing and contrasting both the programs THROUGHLY. Ask your teacher, and other students who have cmpleted their programs and dont forget to google! Good luck!

  2. Some schools may be harder to get into, but the workload is no different. There is a shortage of pharmacist in the US, so although someone may have gotten into a harder-to-get-into-pharmacy school than someone else, it doesn't diminish their capabilities on bit and I'm sure their pay will not be significantly different. I've seen pharmacists from "easier" schools just as good and knowledgeable as someone from a harder school.

  3. Check the pass rate on the State Board Exams for the school. You do not want to go to school for 6 years and flunk on the first try because the school did not properly prepare you.

  4. u will be more prepared for real on the job experience.
