Why magnesium nitrate doesn't react with dilute sulphuric acid ?

  1. Both Magnesium nitrate and dilute Sulfuric acid are highly ionized in aqueous solutions.

    Magnesium (II) ions, unlike Barium (II) ions do not react to form an insoluble sulfate compound.


  2. You could say that it reacts if you consider that nitric acid and magnesium exist in solution but since they are separate ions it's not usually considered a reaction.
