Why does it rain before it rains/storms?

  2. Not sure I understand the question..you want to know it rains before thunderstorms?I assume it had to do rain clouds and then the heat cold air hit for thunder itself.

    The weekend before july1 i was driving through chattanooga,tn and actually saw two rainbows side by side..wondering how often that actually happens on rainy days..

  3. when you look at a radar image...the red and yellow colors in the center of the green indicate a heavy amount of precipitation. the green on the outside indicates moderate to light precipitation. this is because the updraft created in a storm is normally toward the center of the storm and thats where the thunderstorm itself is located. thats why it will rain then storm...then rain again...the its kind of confusing but i hope i helped!
