Rain occurs at all times of year.   Generally during the winter, cold fronts are a bit better organized,  due to the huge difference in temperatures and along these frontal boundaries are most of the weather.

During summer, fronts and lows are still there but a lot of average stormy weather occurs due to a lot of heating.  In Mississippi for example,   low level winds off the Gulf of Mexico combined with a lot of hot surface temperatures produce a lot of rainshowers and thunderstorms.

When a front does pass in the summer,   it is usually pretty violent,  producing severe weather.  The most severe weather happens in the spring,   when the influence of the arctic jet stream is the strongest and when the sub tropical jet is migrating back northward.

Depending on difference places on Earth it rains in different times of the year.

For instance in middle east it never rains in Summer it always rains in winter (whatever rain middle East gets).

But if you go to Indian sub continent which isn't much far from ME it rains during summer only, it hardly rains in winter.

So it differs from place to place, while in Europe it rains all round the year, etc.

during summer 2008 (march-may) here in the philippines, two tropical cyclones entered the philippine area of responsibility...and in most parts of the country, it rained...

At the moment, it rains all year through. Spring, summer, Autumn and Winter and still we have hose pipe bans.

We don't seem to have seasons anymore. People blame global warming or the ozone, but I suppose there is no specific answer.

this depends on where you live. like here in the UK, summer is the driest season of all. places like in the south east of Asia, the raining season is spring.
