  1. i dont see alaska as snow and ice i respect it as one of our 50 states it's not part of a red america or a blue america but the united states of america(yes i did take that red blue thing out of obamas playbook) but im series. alaskans need to be treted better. ive been there twice and it's just like any other state. i guess people who judge alaskalike this just havent been there and make their judgements from what they here from people who havent been there either and mainstream media. all though i am slightly jealous about the free money you get every year for just being alaskans. but theres nothing wrong about that

  2. I have nothing against them or any one else. Just remember you can't please everyone. There will always be someone that likes you and someone that doesn't. If you think you are a good person, well then, I'm sure more people will agree w/ you then disagree.

I thought it was funny about riding moose, and the whole igloo thing. Look at this way too. Each nationality, will have a stereo type. (Someone that is prejudice is always looking out trying to stereo type a person. )Try not to let it get to you.

  3. because mccain in the senator

  4. I haven't heard anyone talk down about them. My stepbrother was a musher on a glacier up there and my bf and I might move up there some day.

  5. They probably think it is full of hicks and hillbillies.

  6. Because it has oil that the dem's don't want to be drilled (even though this will lessen our dependence on foreign oil)!

    Peace

  7. you don't ride mooses?  Gee!  That ruins my perception!  LOL.

I did go to Alaska when I was 16 to stay the summer with my Aunt and Uncle and watch my cousins for the summer.  I would not trade that for anything.

People get the perception that Alaska is a backwards world, because of all the wilderness and down-to-earth, truly real people.  They don't consider Fairbanks, Juneau and Anchorage, the large fishing and crabbing industry, not to mention all the Alaskan oil pipelines and industry.

You get free money for living in Alaska?  My hubby was just talking about moving there.  What an incentive.  Alaska is a beautiful place that has too much sunshine in the summertime, and not enough in the wintertime.  The people are nice, and clean and educated.  The problem is, as with everything else, ignorance.
