Question:

Why does it seem as though women are becoming sluttier these days?

Now, don't take this the wrong way. But as a 20-something male, I notice this quite a bit. I was a relatively average guy in high school, and during that entire time (4 years), I only had sexual intercourse with two different girls. I didn't even lose my virginity until 16, which is embarrassing. And not for lack of trying! We all know how teenage guys are at that age.

Things got somewhat easier in college, but in the past three years or so, things have REALLY changed in terms of the sexual behavior of young women. In 2007, I had intercourse with 27 different women, and I am by all accounts an average male. Yes, I stay in shape, and I make good money, but I don't discuss my income, and I'm not out "cruising" for s*x all the time, either.

My male friends notice this as well. Women are simply getting sluttier. Why is this? Is this due to the "s*x and the City" effect, where women are encouraged to have frequent casual s*x? Is it due to declining moral standards in America?

It seems hypocritical of me to complain, but it makes me sad that any future daughter of mine might be having s*x with 30 different guys per year in the future.

  1. Please, before you judge women, look internally at least a little.  Why would you demean your body like that?  You have pushed all of the responsibility onto women in a patriarchal society which is the U.S.  That simply can not be done, it is impossible to think that women are the cause of promiscuity. It doesn't make sense even from a logical perspective.

Women have been taught from a young age by society, parents, culture, that they need men to survive or thrive in this world, which is not true.  Also, you labeled women, which is called de-individuation, in which you see yourself as an individual, but women as only a group.  They are individuals and should be treated as individuals, meaning with dignity. Peace!

  2. You stud!

  3. I must say that it does seem hypocritical for you, who slept with 27 women in college, to complain, but-

This is noticeable. There are declining moral standards nowadays. While I personally find it admirable that you didn't lose your virginity until 16, even you have been brainwashed into thinking that it's shameful. It's considered almost pathetic for someone to wait that long, and you'll be damned if you *gasp!* actually decide to wait for the right person and get married before going all the way. A man is expected to be a player and bed as many women as he can, curse anyone who gets in his way. He's just a college kid, right? This same type of cavalier attitude is now also being extended to women. They are also being highly encouraged to be out there as much as they can and experiment. It's just the type of "freedom" people want. The freedom to be S****y. All the birth control and K&Y jelly commercials are not helping, either. The sad thing is, kids are seeing this daily and they are starting to accept a loose life as the norm, too.

I think women also think that this is "liberating" and "empowering" them, too. As a young lady, it saddens me to see that feminism is reduced to the right to be a s**t, encourage others to be s***s, and d**n the consequences. Why should you be stuck with the child? Just kill it and move on with the jetset life. I'm sorry for rambling, but that's how I feel.

The thoughts of a 17 year old girl. :)

  4. There are still no cures for VD, AIDS, Herpes . . . . Younger people seem to be forgetting that. I was a music festival a few weeks back and two 20something women were willing to have s*x with no condom. I'm 38, but I felt like their grandpa telling them that they were crazy for wanting to have unprotected s*x and why. Hope you're wrapping it up, man.

  5. I haven't seen s*x in the city and I dont live in America but I've noticed this too and I think it's because women aren't afraid to feel lust anymore, until I was 13 I thought it was a sin but now I can write here where anyone might see it that : I enjoy sexual contact, it fills a need like water and shelter and that I have no problem having meaningless encounters because my generation no longer fears their sexuality.

NB if you think that's worrying cause I'm only fifteen I haven't had penitrave s*x only jeans on bra off, y'know? Listen to Christiana Aguilera's song Still Dirrty for further answers

  6. Because only the s***s are going out, and behaving such a vulgar manner. The real women are either taken or don't present themselves in that way so they go unnoticed. My personal opinion anyway
