  1. cause u pay attention too the passenger

  2. Because the person next to you, especially if it's your wife, tends to pick apart everything you do, so even if you're driving perfectly, it's not the way she does it, so she rides you like a supermarket pony. That kind of behavior erodes or eliminates the self-confidence and focus you have when you are driving alone, and as a result you end up concentrating more on what she thinks of your driving than where you are going. All your attention is focused on not getting yelled at, so you tend to lose track of direction.

  3. Quit asking your passenger for map information.  LOL!  Plan your trip out and write in big letters that you can put on your visor, directions...so you can read them in case it is dark.  Tell your passenger to shut the f* up or you will throw them out of the car!  LOL!  Tell 'em, "That's it!!!!  No potty stop for you!"

  4. Maybe they make you nervous like having someone watching you drive or tthe conversation with them might distract you.

  5. I drive better when I have someone else in the car I find. I'm smoother and more alert to my route as I don't want to make a plank out of myself. I find myself heavy footed when I am alone, changing gear pretty quick and corner a bit quicker.

Not good, but thats just the way i'm are.

  6. I'm the same when my Dads in the car !!!
