Question:

Why does it seem like drivers with the most personality, good or bad, are the most hated guys in NASCAR?

You probably know who I am talking about. Drivers such as Kyle Busch, Tony Stewart, Juan Pablo, Kevin Harvick, and a couple of others. Do us as fans really want all of our drivers to be corporate puppets like the drivers over at HMS? Or do you want a driver who tells it like it is, instead of trying to impress everybody by being "humble and appreciate" aka putting on a front?

  1. You know, you are right. I am not a Busch fan, but I do like his driving style. The thing that I don't like about Busch is he can do what he wants to who he wants. But somebody does it back to him and he throws a fit. I am just saying what goes around, comes around and he better get used to it. I love the rubbing, that is one reason I like his style. I wish they'd start using the front bumper more often. And the guys over at HMS are not puppets. They say it like it is. They just have more respect for people, why don't you think Johnson hit Busch on the last lap at Chicago, he hit the brakes before he hit Busch. To me that was respect, but then Johnson gave up a win, to not wreck Busch. If that was Kyle, he would have taken him out, and cruise on to win. But then that's what makes racing fun right?

  2. And that is one of the great mysteries in life. I don't really know if I'm qualified to answer this one because all of my favorites are on the list of drivers you mentioned but I'll give it a shot lol.

IMHO I think it's because the drivers that have that fire about them are usually the best in the sport and fans of feel threatened by them taking away the spotlight from their own drivers. They are the ones that will do whatever it takes to win a race, even if it means leaving a few tire marks and hurt feelings on there way to the top. This makes them both VERY popular with their fans as well as some of the most hated in the sport. But you have to admit, it's guys like Dale Earnhardt Sr, Tony Stewart, and Kyle Busch that have made Nascar what it is today. They make the sport interesting both on the track and off it.

edit: JM, now THATS funny XD
