Why does it seem like every weekend it's been raining?

Seriously, I'm kind of getting sick of it. It ruins my plans. I checked the weather channel about five minutes ago and imagine that, rain ALL weekend.

For the same reason that it seems to rain if you plan a picnic.  Rain doesn't happen only on the weekend or when you go on a picnic, but your memory of the rain increases.  If it rains during the week you tend not to notice it as much as if it interrupted something you wanted to do.
