Why does it seem like there's so much time?

and then you wake up one morning and you're middle aged? lol weird that 10 years can look like a lifetime and yet, before you know it, they're over. one of the very strangest things about life is how quickly time goes, especially when it seems to be endless

Life is one commodity that does not have a handbook. We all have similarities but there are the variations that make for the wonderful differences. At a certain age, you feel that you have all of the time in the world. Then you wake up one day and realize that most of your life has passed and less of it lies ahead. I guess to sum it up, it depends on where you are looking at time, your perspective.

Well, time does not exist per se, it is the movement of space - as Einstein put forth in general relativity. That's why in addition to the 3 basic dimensions: up-down; back-forth; left-right; the fourth is Einstein's spacetime. Time is not going quickly or slower - only if you were moving at the speed of light - only your perception of it changes based on how distracted you are. The brain has no true capacity to record and log every event, therefore events not occurring get blurred with other past events and one cannot solely distinguish their entire history. This is why some thing seem recent and some long-gone; plus, this is why time appears to fly. If we could really log our lives you would most likely suffer an emotional h**l as there are people with this syndrome. Distraction is key in the great decay that is existence. Why do you think the movie business is so profitable?

This is why we should do the things in life that fill our hearts today. Our lives are a minuscule stitch of time.

It takes 21 years to turn twenty one, and they are the longest years of your life. Every birthday an event.  9 years to reach 31.  8 years to reach 41, after that you only celebrate the 50th 60th and 70th.  The time in between goes tooo fast.  But luckily it is never too late, you can do and start anything at anytime.  Time is an illusion. One day with your girl seams like a hour. 30 seconds on hot coals - an eternity.

We as humans have an altered perception of time because we are so busy, we dont realize that its passing. The trick to life is not wasting one minute, because they are so precious. We measure time in birth and death. Everything else in between tends to be a blur.
