Why does it seem that more and more L.A. MTA bus drivers are getting meaner and grouchier??

Ive driven busses for the last 12 years. So please dont attempt to justify unprofessional conduct when you reply. Thanks

I'm not going to justify unprofessional attitude to anyone, but it seems to me that people generally respond in the same manner in which they are treated. If passengers treat the opeartor like some kind of a fool, or demean and belittle him/her, that driver is going to respond in kind.  I think it has little to do with unprofessional conduct, rather it is the way passengers tend to make operators feel.
