Why does it seem that the vietnam draft skipped famous musicians?

How come we don't hear of famous musicians like Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Marty Balin, etc, being drafted for the Vietnam war? How did they get skipped? Or didn't they?

he's not a musician though.

weren't morrison and hendrix too old for the draft?

It didnt skip them, they just simply [aid not to be a part of it.  Same thing with wealthy people's sons who were drafted. They had the opportunity to pay for someone to replace their son on the battlefield.
