  1. THEY ARE    WASHED TO SHORE BY THE STORM SERGE

  2. Fresh water rynning downstream towrds the sea also carries jeyfish with it.  Many types of Jellyfish live inshore, where there are more small animals for them to live on, and storms wash them uou to sea.  The world's most deadly sea creature, the box jellyfish (chironex) spends a lot of its time in mqangrove areas, and after rain, they can get washed out to the open water.  No one ever swims in the sea of North Queenslabd after a storm, for fear of getting stung.

Other species of pelagic (open ocean) jellyfish, like the Potruguese Man O War get blown around the ocean by the wind, and after an onshore wind, can be blown towards the coast, as other answerers have said.  They can get cast up onto beaches in their thousands, and when that happens, peole don't go swimming.

  3. The storm washes them up

  4. beacuse during the storm they are pushed into shore by the current and waves so dont go swimming after the storm
