I usually keep up with prisoners in my local jail system. It seems that some sentenced to DOC spend longer waiting to get in than others, why is that??

  1. It could have something to do with pending court dates, how populated the correctional facility is, and possible many others...

  2. Their lawyer drags his feet and tries to slow things down.  They ask for continuances, etc.  Maybe the officer involved has scheduling problems and can't show up for court.  There are many things that cause delays.

  3. some have already been there before so they are all processed in the system
