Why does it take so long for braces to do their magic?

i was reading on here that people notice a change in their teeth in about a month/2 months... so why do some people have to have ther braces on for 2 years?

im getting braces soon and im scared :(

Well braces dont just fix ur teeth in an instant they have to slowly reposition ur teeth people can notice a change very soon but its not the complete change
