  1. cuz it kips it fresh!

  2. Just as in wintertime, the colder it is ~ the healthier the season (as to flu and virus). The reason for this is similar to the reason we refrigerate our spoilable foods.

Bacteria. Many bacteria and germs die off after the temp plummets to a certain level. This helps in the preservation of food, just as it helps in the preservation of US, as we are made of meat. :)

    Was that too  graphic?

Sorry. Haven't had the morning tea yet.

  3. Preservation usually involves preventing the growth of bacteria, fungi and other micro-organisms, as well as retarding the oxidation of fats which cause rancidity. A colder temperature does all of this.

  4. Germs and bacteria spread faster at higher temperatures (like body temperature). Keeping food in the fridge will therefore result in less bacterial growth and therefore it will keep your food fresh for longer.

  5. Cold inhibits bacteria growth

  6. what it does is it slows down the molecules for the substance making it "preserved" and putting it in a bag makes it last longer because the air does not dry it out.
