Why does lint form in the belly button?

Why isn't it just all over? It all goes right into the belly button.

  1. It comes from inside the belly :)


  2. Probably because its a little hole that can hold onto it... common thing with lots of people with certain kinds of blankets

  3. It seems due to moisture, the clothing particles tend to gather in a very fine layer all over.  When you shower, you clean your body, but not the belly button.  Therefore, it continues to grow in there.

  4. Lint will be caught in any bodily recess in contact with linty clothing, such as between toes.

  5. There was a big debate a couple of years ago in Australia by Dr Karl.

    Apparently it's from your underwear travelling up your snail trail.

  6. In the case of my husband ut is becasue of the hair around it.  If it shaves the hair right nxt to his belly button he colects no fluff
