Not that I've ever done it, but you know how listening to music often makes one's imagination kind of make up pictures to go along with it?

For some reason I always think about flying through space, in particular getting sucked into a black hole (supermassive of course)

Does anybody else have the same experience as me?

  1. I like to think of more primitive instruments like drums when I think of space. It is a cool contrast between man's past and the hypertech future. That is why I love some of the tracks they play on Battlestar Galactica (the new series). They always have percussion instruments playing during the battles. Its f**king awesome. Too bad they don't have to many space battles anymore... what were we talking about?

OH YA! Emotional ties can make a lot of connections in your head when remembering stuff. Music usually incites emotion and for some people the grandness of space does the same thing. It just depends on what kind of emotions you get from them and your past experiences.

I don't know about the bass, but drums were made for space!

    I rhymed!

  2. I don't know.   I had the same feelings when I was in elementary school listening to the old MOOG synthesizer album, but not since then.

But active imaginations are pretty subjective, and can lead to lots of things like that.  for instance, did you know that the symbol in your avatar almost precisely matches the silhouette of a Soviet Bison Bomber?
