Why does madden series 08 and 09 freeze up after you play a few years in the franchise?

After i play a couple of years in franchise for the Madden 08 and the new Madden 09 for the 360 the game freezes up once i try to simulate the other games to get to my game. Please Help.

Probably a defected game

Never happens on the ps3 though

because EA sucks at testing games before they are released, theres suppose to be a patch coming out next month to fix this and other problems with the game

I always try to save everything after a season in case it does freeze up on me. Also I set my Human AI to max and leave the Computer AI alone on Madden 2000 - 20008. Madden 2009 has adjusted Human AI that will adapt to your gaeplay but I Would still try this method once I get my copy of Madden 2009.

That happened on my 360 for 08 i haven't gotten that far in my franchise in 09, i hope that it doesn't freeze up. That would suck
