Why does media only seem do focus on the british royals??

I mean, they aren't the only royal family in the world.... neither are they the most powerful or wealthy..... i understand how that princess called diana got alot of media attention..its because she did alot of chairty work and was very open with people.

But i don't understand why the media is so fascinated by the rest of british royals.. they don't even have good teeth...

i dont think theyre focused on that much, its an occasional news item..

one answer could be that we are 'GREAT' Britain and one of the wealthiest countries so the media see it as a positive thing to get stories from!

Eh. I honestly don't know much about any kind of royalty. All I know is the Queen rules my country Canada and I've seen her when she visited. =) And I only hear about her from time to time lol

Look, American people have got to stop calling us Brits.

An Englishman for example is so different in many ways from a Scotsman or Welshman. There isnt a stereotypical British image ! I mean what accent does the average british man speak ? english, welsh ??

I think the British Royal Family get so much attention because they have a very long History, and ruled the biggest Empire the world has seen.

Well, The Queen rules over UK and Australia! And also she is very famous - because at one stage England use to rule three quarters of the world! And that is why she is friends with Bush in USA! And that is why they focus on her!

I guess the Royals in Monaco were quite high profile years ago, obviously Actress Grace Kelly who became Royalty & I believe Princess Caroline has made the headlines for various ill fated relationships she has supposidly had, now that the old guard is no longer there it is nice seeing them handing out the trophys at the end of the Monaco Grand Prix.

are they? i mean im british n i barley ever hear bout em, i mean theres the whole harry in iraq thing but apart from that i think theres little new about them, definatly no more than any other celebrity! and ur question about other royal familys, well there big news in there country but and coutnries around them, i just thik the british ones are more puplicied because the queen isnt just the queen of england shes the queen of the comonwealth, this includes half of africa, new zeland, australia and nhundreds of other countrys including canada! so thats why there more talked about because there not just the bristish royal family and also the queen also has close conections with the G8 summites which are publices alot.

deends where you are. in australia, the danish royalty is covered quite a bit. it just depends on a country and its history. most commonwealth or former commonwealth countries are interested in the british coz they're historically tied to them
