  2. because there are particles trapped below the earth that exhaust fumes through the trapped forces of dark matter which ignites the theoretical theory of heat. 1+1=2.. thus making 2 ice cubes melt faster than 1. Hope this helps

  4. That's actually a rather complex problem of physical chemistry.  But at low temperatures, ice does sublimate (transition directly from solid to gas).  See the phase diagram in the reference.
