  1. Many immigrants own gas stations, motels, and small convenience stores like 7-Elevens, because it's a good investment that doesn't require a lot of capital and isn't a very competitive area that has been taken over by large multinational corporations.

  2. Well if you can find litres and litres and gallons and gallons of oil you could.....Most of them already have that much

  3. When they came to America, they came with cash for a dp (down payment).  What've you got?  They work very hard and don't make "that" much money.  Do you have an education?  Use it.  They don't, but the next generation will.

  4. Gas stations, mini-marts, and liquor stores around me are as you say, owned by them. These businesses require long hours and 7-day weeks to succeed, so these people must not have a life outside their store.

  5. Well, it's not just Middle Easterners.  You'll find a lot of immigrants, period, who own gasoline stations, as it is a way to earn income/own your business.

It is, however, not an easy way to earn money - despite high gasoline prices, the gas station owner does not make a lot of profit on fuel, he'll make the extra up on other goods such as snacks, drinks, that are often sold at a filling station.

  6. you're stereotyping

  7. Not where I live.

  8. they own land that has oil. most land is already owned and most oils found already sorry.
