Why does msn messenger stop responding?

I have a windows vista running system and i recently downloaded windows live messenger, the first day i downloaded it everything was fine but now every time i open it it stops responding and i have to close it, any help will be much appreciated

Try uninstalling windows live and then reinstall it again that might work.

do you have the latest one? and do you have a secure connection to the internet because it doesn't work otherwise

I done that as well. Did you also download the parental controls, because I did and msn wouldn't work. If you did try and uninstall the parental controls. Good luck with that.

Ok I had this problem for a long time what I did was shutdown the computer for like a while so it cools down and then if it does still do it I either restart it or shut it down again for a bit longer. I know how frustrated you are because it happened to me , but now ive installed msn plus  it gets rid f all that stuff
