Why does my 10g fish tank get so clowdy?

i have a 10 gallon tank. this month the water has gotten cloudy and nomatter what i do, it just gets worse. I have a small number of fish, maybe 6. I have replaced the filter. I have used algeside to get the green out, i have had many sucker fish to clean it and they just die, i have filterd the water though a drinking water filter then put it into the tank. we have let the water sit. We had this tank for months and didnt have a problem, all of a sudden its just not staying clean. what chould i do?

My 10 gallon tank is also cloudy. But I just got it. It could be a bacteria bloom. Wash the whole thing.

sometimes sucker fish like plecos can make the water cloudy i have had that happen to me

maybe because its in the sunlight or is in some kind of light most of the time

thats what happened to my fish tank

it also be the decorations

they could have chemicals on them that are killing the fish

The rule of thumb for fish tanks is 1inch of fish per gallon of water.. Which means make sure u are not over doing it with fish. I woud go to petsmart and get some tablets called no more cloud it gets rid of them bacteria that causes the cloud. I use it all the time and my tank is crystal clear! they have a whole line of tablets for algea, cloud, and some others too try them it works like a charm!

there can be endless possibilities of what can be happening. first i need to know what kind of fish u have? second when was the last time u did a water change? ane where u tank is placed and how long do u leave the light on?

PLEASE POST additional details so i can further help u with ur problem. i can tell u to do a million different things that will not help u unless i know what is going on in ur tank. hope to hear more from u soon.

in the mean time DO NOT TREAT UR TANK UNTIL WE FIGURE OUT WHAT EXACTLY IS GOING ON. putting anything in ur tank that the previous answers have suggested may MAKE THINGS WORSE. PLEASE POST ADDITIONAL DETAILS THAT i have requested from u.
