Question:

Why does my 1994 Pontiac Bonneville SE buck?

I live at about 6000 feet altitude wise, and when the temperature is over 90 degrees, my car begins to start bucking. When pressing the gas, the car pulls throttle away and the car jumps forward, then nothing, then forward, and so on.

I have to run the heat full blast, and the AC makes it worse. I carefully watch my oil pressure, but what is the ideal oil pressure for this car? I think the problem could be the radiator fans do not work, but the fluid is full and the right color.

How do i check for radiator fan problems without taking it to firestone?

  1. You should check your MAF sensor to make sure it is clean, also check your plugs as the gap can change over time and cause poor performance.   Checkout pontiacbonnevilleclub.com and I guarantee someone will be able to help out.

  2. Its some kind of miss. There could be a whole lot of sensors and even a bad alternator causing the problem, but its not the radiator fans. The AC makes it worse cause you are adding load to the engine
